BUG ALERT

 

Microsoft recently announced that their E-mail program, Outlook Express has a security flaw that could potentially allow certain file attachments to corrupt the users hard drive.  A software patch is available at http://www.microsoft.com/ie/security/?/ie/security/oelong.htm at the middle of this page is a list of program versions and the appropriate download.

Microsoft indicates that the security bug also affects Outlook 97 & 98. http://www.microsoft.com/security/

 

The problem is also present in NETSCAPs mail program, but a fix is not ready yet.
